Barry and Jody Peterson
Barry Peterson grew up in Orlando, Florida, where he came to know the Lord and was baptized at a C&MA church. He graduated from Liberty University (Lynchburg, VA) in May of 1988 with a B.S. in Business-Marketing. After graduation, he pursued careers in sales and marketing, as well as teaching and coaching basketball, all in Orlando, Florida.
However, he began to sense God’s call into ministry while he and his wife were volunteering with the youth at the Baptist church where they were members. Shortly after surrendering to the call and enrolling in Seminary in 1999, he began serving as the Youth Pastor at his church.
In May of 2004, Barry graduated from Reformed Theological Seminary (Orlando, FL) with a Master’s of Divinity degree. Since then, he has served the Lord as both Youth Pastor and Associate Pastor of Education in Baptist churches.
Desiring to return to his Alliance roots, though, in June of 2008 he accepted the call to become Pastor of Maranatha Fellowship Church in Winter Park, Florida. He also returns to Central Florida, where he made his home for over 35 years.
Barry has been married to his wife Jody for 21 years. They have two girls, Claire (9) and Molly (6).
