The Great Commission
One of the last instructions that Jesus gave was to “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19-20). As such, Maranatha places a high regard on both home and foreign missions, where the gospel continues to touch lives and to reach new lands and people groups for Jesus Christ. We give to the Home Missions Fund to help support local church planting through the Southeastern District, and we give to the Great Commission Fund of the C&MA to help provide for the work of missionaries around the world.
Missions Conference
Every year Maranatha hosts a Missions Conference to create more awareness of missionary work around the world and to challenge each of us to greater participation in the Great Commission. The conference usually takes place in February or March. During that time we will be joined by missionaries who have worked, or who are working, in various places around the world who will share their experiences and challenge us to greater missionary awareness and involvement.
